Ubisoft to Revive Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace After Year-Long Closure
The trading platform was shut down last December following a major hack that gave players free in-game currency.

Ubisoft will bring back the Rainbow Six Siege marketplace after closing it for almost a year following a major hacker attack.
The marketplace was shut down on December 27, 2025, after an attack gave players free Renown and R6 Credits.
Since then, updates about the marketplace have been limited, with nothing revealed about its future for almost a year.
The platform allowed the community to trade cosmetics for R6 Credits while Ubisoft took a small portion from every transaction.
This gave players the option to sell skins they wouldn’t use and later buy skins they actually wanted, funding their purchase with R6 Credits obtained from marketplace sales.
It also gave players the chance to buy skins from bundles they never had the chance to acquire and to sell exclusive or limited items, such as esports skins obtained at Majors or the Six Invitational, or even Glacier cosmetics.
"Although there are still no news about Rainbow Six Siege's marketplace, we can confidently say that the marketplace will return in the future, but not as we know it," the report states.
In recent months, Ubisoft has been selling the bundles of the skins that performed better in the marketplace, including seasonal bundles from previous years.
The company has sold exclusive marketplace drops, which until recently only 5,000 players had access to, and even the extremely limited Mythical variant skins that players can only get in Delta Packs.
All of this combined with the recent changes made to the possibilities behind Renown, which can’t be used to buy Event Packs anymore, has created a strange feeling in the Rainbow Six Siege community.
The marketplace will return to Rainbow Six Siege but in a different shape.
Players should still be able to trade weapon skins for R6 Credits, but Ubisoft will have more power on the transactions.
More information is expected to be released in the next months, with the best guess being that Ubisoft will reveal future plans for the marketplace at the Six Invitational 2027.
