A Call of Duty fan has obtained the source code for World at War Zombies and has been posting videos of bizarre modded crossovers with games like Portal, Halo, and NHL.

On September 6, X user 'P.E. Cooper' revealed he "had opus 5.5 and astra pull the source code for call of duty world at war and port the classic og zombies map over to web," allowing him to run the mode from his browser.

He soon began posting clips of strange additions, starting with a functional Portal Gun from Portal 2 in the Mystery Box that fired working portals to handle the Nacht der Untoten map.

Other creations showed a player mowing down zombies with a Sith lightsaber, a soldier transformed into a crew member from Among Us, and Mario from Mario Kart driving around and tripping up enemies with banana skins.

In another video, Fortnite's building mechanics were introduced, allowing the player to put up wooden walls to prevent zombies from reaching them.

Bot teammates were also modded to appear as characters including Tung Tung Tung Sahur, Master Chief, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Rick and Morty.

Sports crossovers followed, with the playable character turned into an NFL player from Madden, an ice hockey star from NHL games, and a Mii from Wii Sports who slayed enemies with boxing gloves, bowling balls, and a baseball bat.

"When I was younger, I had a meeting with some game studios and they laughed me out of the room… they said my idea was 'the dumbest fucking thing they've ever heard!'" Cooper joked.

He added, "Thanks to AI I can finally prove them wrong."

The creations are currently only available to Cooper and are not released as an easily accessible mod.
