MOUZ, MongolZ, PARIVISION Advance as FaZe, G2, NAVI Fall at IEM Beijing Day 2

PARIVISION ended Team Liquid's confident opening day streak with a 2-0 victory, leaving the American side on the back foot for back-to-back maps during the first match of the day.

Aurora swept G2 Esports on the opening map of Nuke after a dominant offensive start, then stood the test of resilience in a 2-1 series win after pushing the final map to overtime.

TYLOO kept their tournament run alive on home soil with a 2-0 win over 9Z, taking an early lead after the South American side dropped the ball in the opening map.

The second map saw 9Z push to overtime after a comeback from a 10-2 deficit, but TYLOO came out on top with a 16-13 win.

MOUZ came out on top in a clash of opening day top performers against BetBoom Team, securing a 2-0 win with a convincing first map followed by a close second to claim a spot in the upper bracket final.

Falcons eliminated FaZe Clan 2-1, starting with a 13-2 domination in the opening map for their first map win of the event.

FaZe hit back immediately on Anubis to force a third map, where Falcons' individual performances proved too strong despite a level scoreline at halftime.

MongolZ took an early lead against HEROIC after their CT side stifled HEROIC's offense on the opening map.

HEROIC posed a stronger challenge in the second map, which MongolZ barely pushed to overtime, eventually pulling ahead in the second overtime period for a tight 19-17 win and a 2-0 series victory.

FURIA sent Natus Vincere to the lower bracket with a 2-1 comeback victory, edging out a tight overtime win on the second map after NAVI took the early lead in overtime on their home ground of Ancient.

The final map saw FURIA take an 8-4 lead in the first half, which gave them the room to close out the series.

B8 survived elimination with a 2-1 win over Legacy, edging out the opening map 13-11 before Legacy leveled the series with a 13-6 performance on Cache.

A 9-3 start for B8 on the final map gave them enough headroom to push the series over the line and stay alive as the Brazilians were knocked out.

The tournament continues with Day 3, which will determine the teams advancing to the playoffs.
