Vitality to Face Nemiga in PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 Semifinal

Team Vitality will face Nemiga in the semifinals of PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 on October 30 at 13:00 CET.

The best-of-three series will determine who advances to the grand final of the $1,250,000 tournament.

Vitality enter the match as the clear favorite, ranked second on HLTV and first in the VRS, while Nemiga are 21st on HLTV and 14th in the VRS.

Nemiga arrives in the semifinal on a three-match winning streak, having eliminated FUT 2-0 in the quarterfinal.

Vitality reached the last four with a 2-1 quarterfinal victory over NAVI, recovering after losing the opening map on Cache.

"Maybe we thought they were going to go somewhere else, and they picked Cache," Vitality's William "mezii" Merriman said in a post-match interview.

"I think overall they had a really good plan."

NAVI won Cache 13-5, ending Vitality's eight-match winning streak on the map, but Vitality answered with 13-9 on Mirage and closed the series 13-6 on Dust2.

ZywOo was Vitality's star on Mirage, finishing the map 24-16 with 118.2 ADR.

mezii, who has been calling for Vitality in the absence of captain apEX, said he did not lose faith after the Cache loss.

"Even now, if you look at a lot of teams, T sides overall, even with their IGLs, it’s really tough at the moment," mezii said.

"So we just try and fight for as many as we can and then CT side, let the guys have some fun and show their individual skill."

Vitality are playing the tournament with jL standing in for apEX, who is away for the birth of his child.

Nemiga produced one of the biggest playoff results so far by defeating FUT 2-0.

On Nuke, Nemiga completed a comeback to win 13-11 after trailing at halftime, and they closed the series 13-9 on Dust2.

Nemiga reached the playoffs with a 3-2 record in the Swiss Stage, with wins over Legacy, DENDELE and The MongolZ and losses to BETBOOM and Aurora.

They have since won three consecutive elimination or playoff series without dropping a map.

syph0 has been Nemiga's highest-rated player at the event with a 1.23 rating, while KaiR0N- follows at 1.12.

Vitality have won four of their last five series, with FUT responsible for their only defeat during that stretch.

ZywOo remains the main difference-maker, averaging a 1.39 event rating.

flameZ, ropz and mezii are all above 1.10 as well, giving Vitality considerable individual firepower.

mezii was not dismissing Nemiga ahead of the semifinal.

"They’re really strong individually […] They’re not scared to make moves," he said.

The map veto gives Nemiga a realistic route to one map, with Anubis seen as a clear weakness in Vitality's current map pool, while Nuke could also favor Nemiga.

Vitality, however, hold a large advantage on Dust2 and also have strong numbers on Cache and Mirage.

Nemiga and Vitality have not faced each other with their current lineups.

The other semifinal will see MOUZ face FURIA.

The winners will meet in the best-of-five grand final on October 31.
