Fortnite Treasure Hunters mini-season launches November 1 with pirate theme
The pirate-themed mini-season will feature collaborations with A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert, and Hatsune Miku, Epic Games confirmed.

Fortnite's next mini-season, Treasure Hunters, begins on November 1, 2026, Epic Games confirmed on October 24.
The update, version v43.00, will follow the conclusion of Chapter 7 Season 4 "Override" on October 31.
Epic Games revealed the new mini-season with a teaser trailer showing a treasure map and its November 1 release date.
According to dataminers, downtime is expected to begin on November 1 at around 1 AM PT, with Treasure Hunters expected to launch at around 4 AM PT.
The table accounts for US daylight saving time ending on November 1.
What collaborations are part of Treasure Hunters?
Epic Games has teased several collaborations tied to pirate crews for the mini-season.
The lineup covers hip-hop, vocaloid, and anime, all tied together under a pirate crew structure.
A$AP Rocky was teased on October 21 via artist social posts featuring Epic-produced artwork.
His teaser showed his skin alongside a Rocket Launcher and a pirate flag, with The Yacht appearing as a backdrop.
Lil Uzi Vert's Icon Skin was revealed on October 22.
The teaser showed a pink and purple design alongside the Pink Tape Flag, which features a skull emoji.
The clip also included a remixed version of Anvil Square, suggesting some form of map refresh.
Hatsune Miku arrives in a pirate-themed form called Pirate Miku.
Kasane Teto, the popular vocaloid, joins her.
TwinDrill, Teto's rights holder, posted an official teaser on October 23 showing Teto holding a flag with both singers' faces on it.
A leaked image also shows a Kasane Teto and Hatsune Miku duo Sprite, though Epic has not announced that.
Data-miners identified six crew flags in the teaser material released on October 24.
One of the six crew flags remains unidentified, and earlier leaks named a "Luffy's Crew" as the final slot.
Epic Games officially confirmed the One Piece crossover with a teaser trailer featuring the Going Merry flying through the clouds.
However, it is still unclear whether the One Piece Fortnite skins will actually be available on November 1.
When does the new season start and how long will it last?
Treasure Hunters launches on November 1, 2026, with version v43.00.
Epic's teaser post used "11.1" as the date marker, and the Override Battle Pass page states the season ends November 1 Eastern Time.
Recent season transitions have involved roughly 4 to 5 hours of maintenance.
The v42.00 Override launch began at 2 AM ET and ran about five hours.
Epic Games has not announced an end date for the mini-season.
Leakers have pointed to late November or early December for Chapter 8's arrival, but Epic has not announced a date.
The Simpsons mini-season is the most relevant comparison, starting on the same date a year earlier and running exactly four weeks before a new chapter launched.
What is changing with the new season?
The new Fortnite mini-season will have a pirate theme, with various crews joining the treasure hunt.
Treasure Hunters appears to be built around rival pirate crews, each represented by a distinct flag.
Epic Games has not revealed the Battle Pass.
Leaks suggest the pass may include anime-style skins for characters like Anime Syd and an anime Cuddle Team Leader, and a new weapon called the Cutlass.
The current Override Pass is 800 V-Bucks.
The teaser clip runs 7.7 seconds and moves from a black-and-red Fortnite logo with Japanese katakana, to a pop-art logo beside a skull-and-chains treasure chest, to the final title card.
That card reads TREASURE HUNTERS across gold katakana over a hand-drawn treasure map, with the tagline THE GREATEST ADVENTURE OF ALL TIME.
The vertical Japanese text in the map's corner translates to "the greatest adventure in history."
The giant pirate chest east of Sunken Shores has been building toward this all week.
It downloaded in stages from October 17, then played each crew's music in sequence.
The chest reached 100% on October 24, the same day Epic officially confirmed the mini-season name and date.
What events are happening before the season change?
Override's last week includes The Final Spritemare, a five-day send-off with boosted drop rates and daily login rewards.
The schedule, based on data-mined event flags, runs from October 28 to November 1.
Data-miners also expect free Spritemare quests on Day 1 that unlock the Crown, Gold Spooky Dash, Spooky Dash, Klombo, and Trick or Treat Klombo Sprites.
The Safety in Numbers horror-island questline runs until November 12, 2026 at 6 AM ET.
The November Fortnite Crew pack (Monarcha) arrives when Crew content rolls over at approximately 8 PM ET on October 31.
Override's Battle Pass and its rewards will no longer be available after November 1.
Epic Games has not announced an exact Item Shop release date for the One Piece outfits.
