Indian Free Fire MAX esports caster and creator Jagannath 'Onspot' Sahu has died in a road accident, the community confirmed on October 26.

His family and his organization, Amigos Esports, where he served as management head, have not yet released a public statement with further details.

News of his death spread quickly through the Indian Free Fire community, prompting an outpouring of tributes on his social media profiles.

Many players, creators and fans said he was "the first person who taught them how competitive Free Fire actually works."

Onspot was a caster, analyst, coach and creator whose verified Instagram bio described his work in four words: "Educating the esports community."

He ran the ONSPOT YouTube channel, which had around 38,000 subscribers, and had about 37,300 followers on Instagram.

His content was aimed at players looking to transition from casual matches to tournaments, covering topics like game mechanics, strategies and tournament preparation.

He remained active until his death, uploading an Instagram reel titled "Improve gamesense in tournaments" on October 24.

That post has since become a memorial, filled with hundreds of comments expressing grief and gratitude.

One player he coached wrote that Onspot was the first person they met in esports and their "one and only coach," adding, "they no longer felt like carrying on in competitive Free Fire without him."

Fans shared clips of popular streamer FozyAjay from iQOO Total Gaming looking emotional on his livestream after the news broke.

Tribute edits have also been posted on YouTube Shorts, reflecting the impact he had on up-and-coming players.

Onspot was part of the official casting desk for the Free Fire MAX India Cup Spring in 2026, the national tournament that ended with Team HIND winning FFMIC 2026 Spring.

The grassroots growth of the Indian Free Fire MAX scene over the past two years has been supported by creators like Onspot who explained the competitive landscape to new players.

His work helped demystify the scene from regional qualifiers up to major events such as the FFMAI 2026 Fall Grand Finals and India's run at the Free Fire World Cup 2026 in Paris.

Redington Cybersport reported in October that the scene includes major events like the FFMAI 2026 Fall Grand Finals and India's participation in the Free Fire World Cup 2026 in Paris.

Comments under his recent posts are filled with messages of "RIP," "Om Shanti" and thanks from the community he helped build.

His last public work was the practical coaching advice he posted just two days before his death.
