Founding and Early Ambitions
Eternal Fire was established on 13 August 2021 as a Turkish esports club. The organization was founded with the goal of creating a sustainable culture of sportsmanship and success. Its initial investments were made into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Valorant, aiming to build competitive teams from players who had achieved significant success both in Turkey and internationally.
Counter-Strike Team History
The Counter-Strike team was announced on the same day as the organization's founding. Its initial lineup featured four notable Turkish players, woxic, XANTARES, Calyx, and imoRR, along with one Jordanian player, ISSAA. Two months later, ISSAA departed, making the roster fully Turkish. The team attended the PGL Antwerp Major in 2022 but did not advance to the playoff stage.
The roster saw several changes throughout 2022. In July, Calyx left and was replaced by MAJ3R. Shortly after, xfl0ud was moved to the inactive lineup and replaced by Ahmet paz Karahoca, a move that reunited the core of the historic Space Soldiers team. After failing to qualify for the IEM Rio Major later that year, MAJ3R was removed and xfl0ud returned. Coach Canpolat hardstyle Yıldıran was also removed by the organization. In November 2022, star AWPer woxic benched himself to pursue an international career, leading to the temporary returns of Calyx and MAJ3R, with Sezgin Fabre Kalaycı appointed as the new coach.
Organizational Changes and Relocation
In a significant move, Eternal Fire relocated its headquarters from Turkey to Hungary on 16 October 2024. This shift meant the organization began representing Hungary in the European competitive region for Counter-Strike 2. The move preceded a major change for the CS2 squad in 2025.
On 5 April 2025, due to sponsor issues and political reasons, Eternal Fire had to sell its entire Counter-Strike team to the Serbia-based organization Team Aurora. As a result, the team competed at the PGL Bucharest 2025 tournament the very next day under the Team Aurora banner, using the Eternal Fire roster.
Expansion into Other Games
Beyond Counter-Strike and Valorant, Eternal Fire expanded into mobile esports. On 18 September 2024, the organization announced a new Brawl Stars roster consisting of players Ope, GuGu, and Mebius. This team successfully qualified for the Brawl Stars World Finals 2024, where they finished in the 9th to 11th place bracket. Player Mebius left the team on 13 December 2024.
The organization has stated its aim to expand its success to new horizons in 2025, with plans to build new teams across a wide range of games.
Valorant Division
Eternal Fire announced its Valorant roster on 21 April 2024. The team's current main lineup consists of MisteM, regali, soulfly, Kvem, and jottAAA. The organization achieved a major milestone for its Valorant division on 20 March 2026, when it was formally admitted into the prestigious VCT EMEA league. This opportunity arose following financial issues at the previous league member, ULF Esports.
Current Status and Ranking
As of recent data, Eternal Fire's Counter-Strike team is ranked approximately 46th in the world. The organization maintains an active presence across social media and content platforms, including a popular YouTube channel. With its Valorant team now in a premier league and plans for further expansion, Eternal Fire continues to pursue its founding mission of building a lasting and successful esports club.
