Gen.G Signs BeastMode, Reunites With Chronic for 2027 Rocket League Season
The team, coached by former player ApparentlyJack, will debut at the RLCS Club Championship Kick Off in London in December.

Gen.G announced its new Rocket League roster for the 2027 RLCS season, signing Landon 'BeastMode' Konerman and reuniting with Chronic, with Jack 'ApparentlyJack' Benton as coach.
The organization, announced as a partner for the RLCS Club Championship 2027 in North America, described the roster as a highly ambitious project designed to compete at the top of one of Rocket League's best regions.
"Gen.G’s intent with the roster is clear," the organization said, noting that adding RLCS 2025 World Championship winner BeastMode aims to step up their competitive offering.
The signing follows the disbandment of NRG's World Championship-winning roster, which remained highly competitive in 2026 but failed to reach the same heights as 2025.
The rest of the Gen.G Mobi1 Racing roster prioritizes both form and known entities, reuniting with Chronic, who last represented the organization in 2024.
Chronic placed 3rd/4th at the Rocket League World Championship 2026 after FUT backed up their potential by making the event through qualifiers.
Tawk finished 5th/6th in the competition with Virtus.pro, making the roster a strong in-form entity going into the 2027 RLCS circuit.
The team will debut at the RLCS Club Championship Kick Off in London from December 9-13. Redington Cybersport reported in October that the new $2.5 million tournament will begin in London on Dec. 9.
ApparentlyJack announced his transition to coaching on October 2, when he formally revealed he was retiring from competition.
The British Rocket League legend retired after six years of top-level competition, most notably enjoying successful stints with both Gen.G and Dignitas.
The English player won the RLCS 2022-23 Fall Split Major with Gen.G Mobi1 Racing alongside Chronic, who will now play under his watchful eye.
2025 saw ApparentlyJack move to Dignitas, where the team secured a second-place finish at the RLCS 2025 Raleigh Major in a competitive year for the roster.
A move to Geekay in 2026 proved largely unsuccessful, as was a brief return to Dignitas where the team finished 3rd/4th in the RLCS 2026 Last Chance Qualifier: North America, causing the team to narrowly miss out on the RLCS World Championship and bringing an end to the player’s journey in the RLCS.
