eFootball Server Maintenance Underway, New POTW Packs Expected
The maintenance, which began October 29, will last around eight hours and is expected to introduce new Player of the Week selections.
Konami has taken eFootball servers offline for scheduled maintenance on October 29, 2026.
The maintenance is expected to last approximately eight hours, with console users gaining access to the game about 30 minutes before mobile users, according to official sources.
During the maintenance period, players cannot enter eFootball's main menu to play online or offline matches.
Following the update, players can expect new Player of the Week packs featuring top performers from the UEFA Champions League and domestic leagues.
"The new POTW packs will be quite interesting," official sources said.
A limited-time 99-rated Diego Forlan card will also become available for players to acquire post-maintenance.
Konami confirmed that no major new content is expected to arrive immediately after the servers come back online.
The maintenance coincides with the start of the esports Club Championship Round 3 for Borussia Dortmund, which also begins on October 29.
Players can collect free coins in the second half of the campaign hub by handling to the "Tournament" section to participate.
A new tour event featuring both AI and PvP modes will also be introduced, aimed at players who prefer not to grind.
Given the recent Ballon d'Or ceremony results, a World Player of the Year 2026 Epic pack featuring Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe, and Lamine Yamal is also anticipated.
The weekly eFootball European Club Championship POTW for October 29 will highlight top UEFA Champions League stars, while the eFootball POTW Worldwide for the same date will feature standout domestic players.
The maintenance follows the conclusion of Matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League and another domestic week, which opened the opportunity for Konami to release the new POTW packs.
Several trivial campaigns are also set to arrive alongside the maintenance update.
Redington Cybersport reported in September that international stars were set to headline an earlier POTW Worldwide pack.
Konami advised players to follow its social media handles for further updates on the maintenance.
"There should be a delay of 8 hours between the start and end times, unless things go south for Konami," the notes stated.
