Revenant Esports signs Vanshaj Sharma ahead of FC Pro Open Global Qualifier
The Indian organization has entered EA SPORTS FC by signing the player days before the London event.

Revenant Esports has signed Indian EA SPORTS FC player Vanshaj Sharma to represent it at the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier in London, which begins on Friday, November 6.
The organization, which posts on X as Revenant Esports, confirmed the signing on November 4 at 11:02am IST with a welcome graphic carrying FC Pro branding, Indian flags and the logos of AMD Ryzen and Radeon, Monster Energy and Cybeart.
Vanshaj earned his place at the qualifier by coming through the Asia South Regional Qualifier last month.
He and fellow Indian player Charanjot Singh, who represents GodLike, are the only two players from the Asia South region among the 64 competitors.
"Finally qualified for London," Vanshaj wrote on X after securing his spot.
The Global Qualifier is the first in-person event of the FC Pro 27 season and features a $152,000 prize pool, according to EA’s FC Pro 27 season guide.
Play begins on Friday at 4pm GMT at BBC Television Studios with a five-round Swiss Stage, where three wins send a player through and three losses end his tournament.
Opponents on the same record are paired after the first round.
The 32 survivors return on Saturday for a double-elimination Knockout Stage, split into four groups of eight players.
Saturday’s matches will be broadcast on the EA SPORTS FC Twitch channel and the EA SPORTS FC Pro YouTube channel from 3pm GMT, which is 8:30pm in India.
Sixteen players will leave London with places in the FC Pro Open, where they will join eight players who have already qualified.
That 24-player competition starts on November 30 with four groups of six, runs until a final on January 25, 2027, and carries a $533,000 prize pool.
Group winners in the FC Pro Open earn seats at the FC Pro World Championship and quarter-finalists receive invitations to it.
The Esports World Cup has hosted the FC Pro World Championship for the last two seasons, with RvPLegend crowned world champion in Paris this July.
The field in London includes 2025 FC Pro World Champion ManuBachoore and English veteran Tekkz.
Vanshaj is a veteran of Indian football esports.
His X profile says he represented FC Goa in the eISL, the esports competition of the Indian Super League, and lists a top 128 finish at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh.
His best recent run was a semi-final appearance at the FC Pro 26 Open Cup December for Asia South in December 2025, where he lost 11-10 to Malaysia’s AkmalJHD.
Charanjot then beat AkmalJHD 14-13 in the final to take the $3,000 top prize.
In August, Vanshaj finished joint seventh in the Asia South qualifier for the Esports Nations Cup, where only four places were available.
Charanjot had already claimed India’s direct invite through the FC Pro World Rankings as the country’s highest-ranked eligible player.
The Esports Foundation has since pushed the ENC back to November 2027.
Revenant Esports is primarily known in India as a Battlegrounds Mobile India organization.
Revenant Esports and Team XSpark joined forces in October 2024, and only this week the organization brought back in-game leader Shadow while BGMS Season 5 champion Phoenix joined its new BGMI lineup.
Its X profile also lists teams in Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, Brawl Stars and Call of Duty: Mobile.
Liquipedia’s EA SPORTS FC wiki has no earlier record of the organization in the game.
Football esports is a different kind of project, because FC Pro is a one-versus-one PlayStation 5 circuit where a single player carries the badge.
