Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 Launches November 6 with Modern Warfare 4 Integration
The free-to-play battle royale will also debut on Nintendo Switch 2 and introduce two new maps, Hajin and Zodiac.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 launches at 0000 ET on November 6, bringing full integration with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
The season marks a major update for the free-to-play combat experience, introducing new maps, gear, and the game's debut on Nintendo Switch 2.
"Prepare for an escalation of warfare when Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 goes live," the announcement said.
Starting with Season 1, Call of Duty: Warzone will no longer be playable on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
What new content arrives in Warzone Season 1?
Season 1 introduces the new Hajin Battle Royale map, set on the Korean Peninsula and narratively linked to the Modern Warfare 4 campaign.
It features 13 major points of interest across North and South Korea, including Hajin City's central districts, Imjin Farmland, the 14th Political Prison, Chang-san Air Base, and Deadtown.
The map will include variable weather patterns such as fog, wind, rain, and distant storms.
"With this in mind, the development teams have put in a lot of effort to ensure that no matter what weather you encounter, visibility remains a central factor in gameplay," the notes said.
A new Resurgence map called Zodiac, described as "a compact combat zone built around the DRC Advanced Systems drone assembly and manufacturing headquarters," will also be available.
New gameplay features include gear like the Zipline Launcher and Grabber Drone, interactive objects like moveable fuel barrels and pushable cover, and systems like Weapon Augments, Ground Ops, and Grind for Royalty.
Modes at launch include Battle Royale and Resurgence, with Casual variants for each, plus Rally Point, Massive Resurgence, and Loaded Resurgence.
Extreme Resurgence and Rockets and Snipers modes will be added in the mid-season update.
Players will also find a revised selection of Tactical and Lethal Equipment, new and returning Field Upgrades and Killstreaks, and a full array of vehicles.
New Elite Perks will be introduced, and Mastery Camos will be available to show dedication.
How does Modern Warfare 4 integration change Warzone?
The integration introduces a fresh leveling experience, an influx of new Modern Warfare 4 weapons, and new gameplay mechanics.
Modern Warfare 4 weapons provide the full weapon experience, while all weapons from Modern Warfare II through Black Ops 7 will be accessible in a Legacy tab.
Legacy Weapons are still usable but cannot be edited in Gunsmith and do not support Modern Warfare 4 features.
Instead, a five-attachment version of each Legacy base Weapon will be available, as well as any Blueprint for a Legacy Weapon with their existing Attachment setups.
These Legacy Blueprints will all initially be locked and available to unlock through Player XP in the Armory.
Operators, Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, Calling Cards, Emblems, Operator Finishing Moves, Emotes, Sprays, Parachutes, and Contrails from Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6, and Black Ops 7 will be available.
A new Operator Skin Toggle will give players more control over the Operator Skins they see in Warzone only.
The integration also brings new gameplay elements like surveillance towers, interactive objects for rolling cover, aerial assassinations, and tac-sprint.
What else is new in Season 1 beyond Warzone?
For Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer, Season 1 adds new maps including the returning Shoot House and new maps Canyon and Backstab at launch.
Mid-season will bring the new Ministry and Overflow maps alongside additional classified maps.
The Kill Block map will also have an update to include respawn modes.
New weapons at launch include the Cronen Osprey AR and the CSG-35 SMG.
Later in the season, the ZLR Talonhawk throwing axe and the JAK 12 Shotgun will be added.
A standard 100-tier battle pass will contain Operator skins, weapon blueprints, finishing moves, calling cards, and emotes.
The guns are free to everyone, but unlocks with flair are locked behind the Blackcell battlepass.
A new system guarantees at least 50 battle pass levels to anyone who pays, rewarding one tier per day equal to the number of days since the season began.
In DMZ, a new area called X01, a former Russian facility occupied by North Korean forces, will open.
It features an underground network of tunnels, labs, vehicle bays, production lines, and a sealed vault with high-value loot.
New orders are available from Ghost to guide players deeper into X01, and classified new equipment will be added only to DMZ.
What platforms support Warzone after Season 1?
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 marks the launch of the game on Nintendo Switch 2 for the first time.
Concurrently, support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will end.
Player progression will carry over to a supported platform if users log in with the same linked Activision account.
The season begins at 0000 ET on November 6, which is 2100 PT on November 5.
Redington Cybersport reported in October that Modern Warfare 4 had a strong launch, contributing to the Call of Duty franchise's recent $40 billion sales milestone.
