Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Battle Pass Introduces Auto Catch-Up System
The new Battle Pass features over 100 rewards and guarantees players up to 50 items if they fall behind.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has launched its Season 1 Battle Pass, introducing a new automatic catch-up system for players who fall behind.
The Battle Pass contains over 100 rewards, including two new free base weapons, Operator skins, Weapon Blueprints, and DMZ Survival Kits.
The new catch-up system guarantees players up to 50 rewards if they fall behind, automatically granting the Tier reward matching the current day of the season up to day 50.
Players can purchase the Season 1 Battle Pass in one of four ways, and earning XP in Multiplayer, DMZ, or Warzone will level it up from Tier 1 through 100.
Tier Skip Tokens allow players to access higher level rewards, with Battle Pass Bundle buyers able to skip 10 tiers ahead and BlackCell users able to skip up to 20 tiers ahead.
The BlackCell faction is now active, with users gaining instant access to the "XERO" Skin and Operator.
"BlackCell has no record of XERO before a classified development program involving behavioral conditioning, synthetic identities, and experimental combat training," the faction's intel states.
Completing BlackCell challenges unlocks two additional XERO Skins, "Cowled" and "Adder," and two additional M4 Assault Rifle Weapon Blueprints.
BlackCell owners also get access to a Mastery Camo track, extra Daily Challenges for Multiplayer and Warzone, a unique lobby, and a Pet Companion.
In DMZ, BlackCell users receive a DMZ Weapon Manual, a DMZ Survival Kit, and a DMZ Weapon Blueprint.
All players who obtain the Season 1 Battle Pass immediately unlock Instant Rewards, including a Weapon Blueprint, an Operator Skin, a Finishing Move, and 300 COD Points.
Purchasing BlackCell unlocks additional Instant Rewards, such as the XERO Operator, 1,100 COD Points, 20 Tier Skips, and a BlackCell-themed Vehicle Skin.
Players who upgrade to BlackCell after purchasing the Battle Pass will also receive 1,100 COD Points back.
The two new free base weapons are the Cronen Osprey Assault Rifle and the CSG-35 SMG, which feature the highest fire rates in their respective classes.
The Cronen Osprey is an assault rifle unlocked at Battle Pass Tier 16, with a blueprint available at Tier 87.
"Precision-engineered for relentless performance, this 5.56 rifle delivers a best-in-class fire rate without sacrificing control, accuracy, or mobility," the description says.
The CSG-35 is a submachine gun unlocked at Battle Pass Tier 31, with a blueprint available at Tier 94.
Season 1 also features new Operators Blix and XERO, who both specialize in stealth and precision.
Blix is a former South Korean Special Warfare Command operator who was captured and imprisoned before being recruited by mercenary leader Nikto.
"War reshaped his view of combat into an absolute doctrine," his bio states. "He began tattooing survival codes and tactical principles across his skin, turning himself into a living archive."
