Resonanc’E-Sport launches Le Lobby esports weekend in Suresnes

The Resonanc’E-Sport association will host the first edition of Le Lobby, a weekend of esports tournaments and free play, at the Campanile PRIME de Suresnes on October 10-11, 2026.

The goal is to bring together three tournaments under one roof, free-play areas, dining options, and accommodation for those who wish.

The biggest main draw is dedicated to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, contested on Nintendo Switch with 192 entrants.

Tekken 8 brings together up to 64 players on PS5, while EA Sports FC 26, also played on PS5, welcomes 32 competitors.

Matches are overseen by a dedicated refereeing team and run in the standard formats used by the relevant circuits.

Smash Bros. Ultimate and Tekken 8 use double elimination: one loss sends players to the losers’ bracket, where a second setback ends their run.

In EA Sports FC 26, the action kicks off with pool play before shifting into a knockout phase.

The announced prize pool can reach €1,300: up to €850 for Smash Bros. Ultimate, €300 for Tekken 8, and €150 for EA Sports FC 26.

The organizer notes, however, that these amounts may be adjusted depending on the number of entrants for each tournament.

Entry fees for competitors range from €10 to €20 per tournament depending on the booking date.

On Saturday, October 10, check-in will run from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The three qualifying waves for Smash Bros. Ultimate and the Tekken 8 tournament will then occupy the schedule from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Sunday, October 11, after a welcome session from 10:00 to 11:00, the Smash Bros. Ultimate bracket will run from 11:00 to 16:00.

The EA Sports FC 26 tournament is scheduled from 14:00 to 18:00, while the Top 8 and finals are set to take the stage between 16:00 and 19:00.

An elimination doesn’t necessarily spell the end of the competition.

Off the main brackets, a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate ladder open to all will let players chain matches with its own standings.

Freeplay areas will also remain accessible throughout the weekend.

Competitors eliminated from the brackets can pick up a controller again without waiting for the next tournament.

Spectators can watch the matches and finals for free, provided they register in advance.

The minimum age is 12 for Smash Bros. Ultimate and EA Sports FC 26, and 16 for Tekken 8.

Parental consent is required for minors.

Doors will open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days, with free but mandatory registration for visitors.

This first edition will act as a real-world trial for this multiplayer format.
