Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Detailed in New Intel Guides
The guides cover the Hajin Exclusion Zone environment, threats, and the Forward Operating Base command center.

Infinity Ward has released detailed intel guides for the DMZ extraction shooter mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
The information is split into two parts, with the first available now and the second scheduled for later this week.
The first guide, titled "Tour of Duty, Hajin Environments and Threats, Full Intel Guide," provides topline intel on the Forward Operating Base (FOB) and the war-torn Hajin Exclusion Zone.
It recommends deployment tactics, runs down points of interest, and pinpoints key buildings, vehicles, and enemy threats.
The second guide, "Tour of Duty, Forward Operating Base (FOB) Full Intel Guide," will offer a tour of every Station within the FOB.
It will cover 3D Printer crafting, Bounties, Weapon acquisition, Stashes and Loadouts, Active Duty Operators, DMZ Operator Prestiging, Permanent Prestige Traits, and DMZ Player Progression to Level 70.
The FOB serves as the player's command center for DMZ, where they manage progression, prepare gear, and plan deployments.
As players complete Operations across Hajin, the FOB evolves from a foothold to a fully operational base with over a dozen different Stations.
The initial guide explains that every deployment contributes to a DMZ Player Level, which runs from Level 1 to 70.
It advises that looting should be a first priority after infiltration, as searching containers is a reliable way to earn DMZ XP and progress the FOB.
Players are directed to check the 3D Printer at the FOB for hints about where specific materials are most likely to be found.
The guide recommends a well-rounded approach across Combat, Looting, and Objectives to work toward an S-Tier rating at the end of a deployment.
DMZ Orders are described as the guiding Mission directives, introducing core gameplay systems and rewarding players for completing specific objectives.
Some Orders are straightforward while others demand better equipment, careful preparation, or a prepared squad.
Players are advised to read Order requirements at the FOB before deploying or via the Tac-Map during deployments.
The guide includes a narrative deployment story detailing a squad's mission to infiltrate the 14th Political Prison, clear hostiles, and recover high-value contraband under threat of enemy reinforcements.
Dynamic Operations are noted as giving each deployment a clear objective and a reason to keep moving.
Additional video intel about different facets of the game is promised throughout the week.
The guide states, "Open every cache, locker, crate, and supply box you encounter to build your inventory and uncover useful resources, but don’t overly focus on Looting."
It adds that players should "try for a well-rounded deployment across Combat, Looting, and Objectives."
The narrative excerpt describes a squad dropping "into the dense, damp woodland due west of the 14th Political Prison under a ceiling of low cloud."
It details the squad clearing hostiles, with one operator handling a checkpoint "with considerably less subtlety: a burst of automatic fire tore through three soldiers gathered around a small fire."
The story concludes as the squad regroups after recovering contraband, noting that "beyond the eastern wall, enemy armor was closing fast."
The notes confirm DMZ is Call of Duty’s "definitive extraction shooter experience, featuring a persistent, open-world combat environment where players loot, complete objectives, fight both enemies and rival Operators, and hope to extract with their rewards."
