Early Career and Element Mystic

Before entering the global Overwatch League, Lee Eui-seok built his foundation in South Korea's competitive scene. He served as the team captain for Element Mystic, a prominent squad in the Korean Overwatch Contenders league. He played with this team from 2017 through 2018, developing the skills and leadership that would attract attention from Overwatch League franchises seeking top tank talent.

A Challenging Start with Shanghai Dragons

In February 2018, during the Overwatch League's inaugural season, Fearless and fellow tank player Kim Geguri were signed by the Shanghai Dragons. The team had begun its season with an 0-8 record, and the signings were seen as a move to revitalize the roster. However, travel visa issues delayed Fearless's arrival to the team's base in the United States until the start of the second half of the season.

Upon finally joining, he took over the starting tank position from Jing Roshan. He and Geguri formed the team's starting tank line, but as Korean speakers, they faced significant communication barriers with the majority of their teammates who spoke Mandarin. This challenge was visible in their play. The Dragons' historic losing streak continued, and Fearless did not win a single match during his time with the team that season. The Shanghai Dragons finished the 2018 season with a 0-40 record, the worst in league history.

Following the season, Fearless returned to South Korea due to health issues. He did not rejoin the Dragons for the beginning of the 2019 Overwatch League season.

Contenders Success and Return to Prominence

In April 2019, still having not played for the main Shanghai Dragons roster that year, Fearless was transferred to Team CC, the Dragons' academy team competing in Overwatch Contenders. This move proved important for his career. Team CC experienced two successful seasons in the Contenders league with Fearless on the roster.

Based on this strong performance, he was promoted back to the Shanghai Dragons' main Overwatch League team prior to the start of the 2020 season. His return marked a dramatic reversal of fortune. As a consistent starter throughout the 2020 season, Fearless was instrumental in the Dragons' success. He helped the team win two of the season's midseason tournaments, the May Melee and the Countdown Cup. His individual excellence was recognized with a Role Star commendation for the tank role, and he was selected as a 2020 All-Star, confirming him as one of the league's elite players.

Championship Peak with Dallas Fuel

On November 7, 2020, Fearless was transferred to the Dallas Fuel ahead of the 2021 season. He quickly continued his winning ways, facing his former team, the Shanghai Dragons, in the finals of the May Melee tournament and defeating them to claim his third career midseason tournament title. At the end of the 2021 season, he earned his second career Role Star award.

The 2022 season brought a fundamental change to the game as the Overwatch League switched from playing the original Overwatch to its sequel, Overwatch 2. A major rule change reduced team sizes from six players to five, which meant only one tank player could be on the lineup at a time. Consequently, Fearless split playing time with his Dallas Fuel teammate, Choi Hanbin. Fearless saw reduced playtime during the regular season, and Hanbin was the starting tank when the team won the Summer Showdown tournament.

However, Fearless reentered the starting lineup for the season playoffs. He and the Dallas Fuel fought their way to the 2022 Overwatch League Grand Finals, where they faced the San Francisco Shock. In a fiercely competitive series that went the full distance, Dallas Fuel emerged victorious with a 4-3 win. For his crucial performances in the final series, Fearless was named the Grand Finals Most Valuable Player, achieving the highest individual honor in the league.

Final Campaign with Houston Outlaws

After winning the championship, Fearless signed with the Houston Outlaws for the 2023 Overwatch League season. His high level of play persisted, and at the end of the season he was named a Role Star for the third time in his career. The Outlaws advanced through the playoffs and reached the 2023 Grand Finals, where they faced the Florida Mayhem.

In the finals match, Fearless initially started on the bench, with teammate Bernar playing the tank role. After the Outlaws fell behind 0-3 in the series, Fearless was substituted into the match in an attempt to stage a comeback. Despite the change, the Outlaws lost the fourth map, resulting in a 4-0 sweep and a second-place finish for the season. On October 9, 2023, the Houston Outlaws released their entire roster, including Fearless.

Retirement and Personal Advocacy

On February 22, 2024, Fearless announced his retirement from professional Overwatch. He stated his reason was to complete his mandatory military service in South Korea. This formal conclusion closed a seven-year professional career that spanned the early days of Korean Contenders through the entire first era of the Overwatch League.

Beyond his in-game career, Fearless was known for speaking out on social issues. In 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he discussed experiences of racism he and his teammates faced while living in the United States. During a Twitch stream, he recounted how people on the street would approach him and pretend to cough. He also explained that he would sometimes wear his team jersey in public hoping it would deter harassment. A translated clip of his comments was posted online by Florida Mayhem manager Jade Kim on April 6, 2021, and gained over 300,000 views in a single day. The post prompted public statements from several organizations, including Activision Blizzard and Dallas Fuel owner Mike Rufail.

In his personal life, Fearless attended college in 2017 before committing fully to his esports career.
