Emiru

Early Career and Rise on Twitch

Emiru began her streaming journey in late 2015 while still in high school, broadcasting her gameplay of League of Legends on Twitch. A friend encouraged her to start, highlighting the platform's potential for viewer support. She quickly gained attention for her gaming skills alongside her creative cosplays, building a dedicated audience. Her early focus on League of Legends established her as a recognizable figure in that gaming community.

Her follower count grew steadily over the years. By August 2022, she reached a major milestone by surpassing one million followers on Twitch. This growth was fueled by her personality and the blend of gaming and costume play she offered to her viewers.

Organizational Moves and Content Evolution

In August 2020, Emiru joined the prominent esports organization Cloud9 as a content creator. This partnership lasted until early 2022, when she moved to the gaming organization One True King. Her signing with OTK marked a clear shift in her content strategy, as she began to transition away from a sole focus on League of Legends toward more variety streaming.

Her role within One True King expanded significantly. In January 2023, it was announced that Emiru had become a co-owner of the organization. Around the same time, she helped launch the weekly podcast Steak & Eggs, co-hosting with fellow OTK members Asmongold and Tectone. The podcast ran with this trio until December 2024.

Awards and Industry Recognition

Emiru's impact on the streaming world has been recognized through multiple award nominations. In 2022, she was nominated for Best League of Legends Streamer at the Streamer Awards and for Breakout Streamer at the Streamy Awards. The following year brought nominations for Streamer of the Year and Variety Streamer at the 13th Streamy Awards.

Her recognition continued into 2024 with a nomination for the Sapphire Award, and later for Best Just Chatting Streamer and Streamer of the Year. In a significant career highlight, Emiru was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Games list in December 2025, confirming her as an influential figure in the industry.

Partnerships and Brand Affiliations

Beyond her streaming work, Emiru has formed key partnerships with major brands. In May 2022, she was represented by the agency Ader Gaming for business matters. A major development came in August 2025 when she announced she had joined Red Bull as a Red Bull athlete.

This role with Red Bull is separate from her ownership stake in One True King, as she noted she remains an owner of OTK but without an active content creation contract with them. These affiliations highlight her value as a creator and personality within the gaming and lifestyle sectors.

Public Incidents and Advocacy

Emiru has been involved in several public incidents that sparked wider conversations about safety in the streaming community. In March 2025, she was a guest at a live streaming event in Los Angeles when she and other streamers were targeted by a stalker, leading to an early end to the event and police involvement.

A more direct personal assault occurred later that year at TwitchCon 2025, where a fan grabbed and attempted to kiss her during a meet and greet. Emiru publicly criticized Twitch's handling of the incident, stating the platform's initial response was inadequate. She announced she would no longer attend future TwitchCon events as a result.

In October 2025, Emiru made serious allegations of misconduct against fellow streamer Mizkif, with whom she had a prior relationship. These allegations included sexual assault, emotional abuse, and stalking. Mizkif denied the more serious claims and subsequently filed a federal lawsuit against Emiru and several associated parties for reputational harm and other damages.
